Jean moved to Australia from France and settled in Port Macquarie in May 1997. Jean and his Wife, Australian wife Lynne and sons Chris and Alex relocated after coming to Australia for a wedding and visiting Lynne’s mother at Vendul Cresent. He took over Pure and Natural shortly after and 16 years on he is still enjoying life in his Port Central Store. They loved the town so much they decided to look for a business investment so they could stay on in Port Macquarie.
In France, they operated a Pizza shop however they did not want to continue to work evening’s with a young family. Pure and Natural at Port Central, was the prefect work/family/lifestyle balance. At Pure and Natural, Jean and his staff ensure they use the freshest ingredients in all their products every day to sell to their valued lunchtime customers, which frequent Port Central Food Court.
With a staff of 14, it is a very busy sandwich bar which features freshly made to order sandwiches, wraps, salads, as well as homemade lasagne, vegetable quiche, vegetable burgers and gluten free items made especially to your liking. For the sweet tooth, Jean personally makes cakes and muffins; his favourite is pumpkin and date cake along with carrot cake. Yoghurts, juices, great coffee and tea and a range of soft drinks, cater for everyone looking for something fresh, pure and natural. Pure and Natural is open from 9am-5pm each day, 7:30pm Thursday night and 4pm on weekends.
